This team member manages the definition of solution requirements, identifies relevant controls architecture s, generates description of operations, supports customer layout reviews, generates/directs the development of solution design, supports concepting efforts and generates system cost estimations using department tools/processes. This role will lead, schedule, plan and manage all the technical activities with attention to project accuracy and quality.**Solution Design Project Engineer **R **esponsibilities**:- Review requirements from customer/sales team and closely collaborate with relevant internal/external stakeholder to generate executable system concepts- Lead team members, create 3D models and generate proposal drawings to achieve concept freeze.- Produce material lists and project scope of work summaries.- Identify relevant control architecture s, d elineate control boundaries, specify relevant interfaces between machine/host and generate vendor quote requirements- Review customer submitted D of O requirements and generate proposal description of operations to specify system capabilities- Submit quote request and validate vendor quotes in conjunction with procurement teams- I dentify relevant project risks and assist with generation of mitigat ion strategies- Establish priorities, and promote effective interaction between departments- Evaluate external quotes to ensure compliance with customer and internal requirements- Identify and submit relevant internal controls/electrical quote requests and ensure discipline alignment with quoted bu d gets- Lead technical review and pricing reviews- Create cost breakouts and bridging as required- Responsible for all project engineering efforts for assigned projects- Accountable for technical, cost, and contracting aspects of projects and serves as a key contact for intra-company departments and vendors- Thoroughly understand customer RFPs, specifications and requirements- Ensure compliance of SD project process**What We are Looking For**:General Experience- 5+ Years Industry ExperienceRelevant Engineering Backgrounds- Mechatronic Engineering- Systems Engineering- Application Engineerin g- Industrial EngineeringIndustry Specific (Technology) Experience- PLC Control Systems (required)- WMS/WCS Software (required)- Case Conveyor ( Required)- Bulk Handling (preferred)- Linear Sortation (preferred)- Crossbelt Sortation- ASRS & Unit Load- Structural Experience- P a llet Conveyor- Monorail- Simulation- Autostore
