ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSLead packaging initiatives through the development process up to the shipping stage- Analyze engineering drawings- Conduct periodic vendor reviews- Design and develop packaging solutions for a variety of products using various methods, this includes FG and WIP's- Find improvement opportunities for product protection in the production process, logistics and warehousing- Propose and execute packaging initiatives during the production process, transportation, and storage of the product- Responsible for the implementation of the new packaging throughout the supply chain- Responsible for budget management for new packagingSKILLS / EXPERIENCE- BS/BA in Mechanical Engineering- Knowledge of computer drafting programs- English 80%- 5 years of successful experience in related field- Knowledge in logistics- Critical thinking, innovative, creative- Ability to write technical documents- Knowledge of packaging standards ISTA- Materials extensive knowledge (types & characteristics)- Packaging certifications is a plus- Understanding of the metal industry- Packaging solutions vendors contacts a plus- Discipline and proactive, excellent team work and leadership skills**Organization**: Smart Infrastructure**Company**: Siemens Industry, Inc.**Experience Level**: Experienced Professional**Job Type**: Full-time
