Senior Engineering Manager, Product Management

Ethicon, Inc. is recruiting for a Senior Engineering Manager, Product Management, supporting the Wound Closure & Healing platform.This role can be based at any of the Ethicon locations.The **Senior Engineering Manager, Product Management **has accountability for leading a team of professional engineers, that support a wide range of technical programs including process and equipment development for new products, as well as critical and complex lifecycle initiatives. This role is also the business owner for the platform lifecycle management process and governance, and leads the organization through prioritization of efforts and coordinated resource management.This role reports to the Director of Product Management within the Global Technical Operations team, and will have frequent interaction with senior leaders within the MD Supply Chain and across the Ethicon Wound Closure & Healing platform. This team member will have career development, resource management and oversight responsibilities for a team of site-based and remote reports.**Key Responsibilities**:- Provide interpersonal leadership to the Wound Closure & Healing Product Management organization in support of the overall New Product pipeline and Lifecycle programs enabling a $3.5B medical device and combination products business.- Owning the cross-functional governance and process for lifecycle management supporting the Wound Closure & Healing portfolio.- Drive key programs enabling the technical career ladder, including six sigma certifications, design excellence, operations support, and GROW experiences.- Recruit, develop, manage, and empower highly trained technical professionals to ensure a diverse and highly capable team.- Champions collaboration with internal and external partners to enable execution supporting technical product and process characterization and development.- Supports resource utilization aligned to business prioritization and employee development plans and ensures that associates are appropriately trained and equipped with the knowledge, tools and resources to perform their jobs successfully.- Communication to senior leadership including portfolio reviews, project performance, business risks, and mitigations.**Qualifications** Education**:- Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant technical field, or general business required; advanced technical or business degree preferred- Project Management certification preferred (e.g. PMP, FPX)**Required**:- 8 years or more of relevant work experience in the healthcare, MedTech, or Pharma industry- Ability to develop people, embrace technology, and utilize customer-focused decision making- Strong change management skills with the ability to drive alignment in a global environment through strong communication and employee empowerment- Proven knowledge of process development and validation, including design of experiments, statistical analysis, and project management- Experiences in manufacturing operations with clear understanding of global quality and compliance regulations and expectations.- Deep knowledge of continuous improvement tools, lean manufacturing, and six-sigma.- Strong communication and interpersonal and skills and an ability to work effectively with project teams and senior leaders**Preferred**:- Financial proficiencies to drive sound business decisions- Medical or industrial marketing, research and development**Other**:- People Management experience required- Requires up to 25% domestic and international travelJohnson & Johnson is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
