**Job Summary**:**Responsibilities**:- ** Financial Governance**:- Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information.- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends, variances, and areas for improvement.- ** Planning and Analysis**:- Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to ensure accurate and realistic financial plans.- Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making and business planning.- ** Operational Finance**:- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.- Ensure accurate and timely processing of salary payments and related payroll functions.- Manage cash flow and working capital to optimize liquidity and financial stability.- Implement and maintain financial software systems and tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency.- ** Compliance and Taxation**:- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including international and Dutch tax laws.- ** Investment and Fundraising**:- Develop and execute investment strategies to support long-term financial growth and sustainability.- Identify fundraising opportunities and build relationships with investors, venture capitalists, and financial institutions.- Prepare and present financial models, investor pitch decks, and due diligence materials.- Lead fundraising efforts including equity, debt, or grant financing as appropriate to the company's growth stage.- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).- A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the IT or tech industry.- Proven experience in managing company finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.- Strong knowledge of international and Dutch tax regulations and compliance requirements.- Demonstrated experience in investment strategy development and successful fundraising initiatives.- Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, Excel).- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to confidentiality.- Fluency in English; Dutch language proficiency is a strong advantage.
