We operate software factories in locations that ensure access to great programming and information technology talent**ACTIVITIES**- Development skills / computer science fundamentals- Kubernetes / AWS (or other cloud provider) / Linux- Supporting internet-facing / revenue generating / production web apps**RESPONSIBILITIES**These include the following. Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of management in the context of the role:- Collaborate with the engineering team on projects as the expert on reliability, performance, and efficiency.- Automate away the process of managing capacity, safely deploy software, and mitigate system failures.- Design and develop tools and integrations.- Collaborate with team to review code and provide feedback- Ability to root cause / troubleshoot issues in a fast-paced environment, and implement solutions to prevent them from happening again- Participate in on call 24/7-365 rotation to respond to alerts or outages- Look for areas to improve: remove bottlenecks, eliminate waste, improve performance, and reduce costs.**SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES**- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions_**Must have**:- Previous experience in an SRE or related role: DevOps, platform engineering, software engineering- CS Degree (or related field) and/or a demonstrable, solid understanding of CS fundamentals.- Proficient coder: strong with at least one programming language (Python, Golang, or Java a plus)- Deep understanding of Linux system internals / OS fundamentals.- Experience with distributed / highly available systems architecture, theory, and practice.- Understanding of container and orchestration tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos, etc. (we run EKS)- Experience with an infrastructure-as-code tool (terraform, cloud formation, etc) (tf preferred)- Conversational english (B2)**Nice to have**:- Previous experience building and maintaining production systems in the cloud (AWS preferred)- Knowledge of security best practices operating in the cloud- Experience with configuration management tools like Chef, Puppet, or Ansible**We offer**:- Contrato indefinido- Home office- Apoyo para Seguro de Gastos Médicos Mayores- OTRASTipo de puesto: Tiempo completo, Por tiempo indeterminadoSalario: A partir de $50,000.00 al mesHorario:- Turno de 8 horasPrestaciones:- Seguro de gastos médicos mayores- Trabajo desde casa- Vacaciones adicionales o permisos con goce de sueldoPregunta(s) de postulación:- Can you maintain professional conversations in english?Experiência:- SRE: 5 años (Obligatorio)- DevOps: 5 años (Deseable)- Linux: 5 años (Obligatorio)- EKS: 5 años (Obligatorio)- AWS: 5 años (Deseable)Lugar de trabajo: Remote
