Join the Fountain team as a Senior Software Engineer. Position Overview As a Senior Software Engineer you will collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to create user‑centered web applications that help organizations improve employee retention. You will own product features, design and build new functionality, and ensure reliability, security, and performance for our enterprise‑grade stack. Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain product features and enhancements. Collaborate closely with product and design teams to bring features to life. Review and collaborate with other developers’ work. Implement RESTful API endpoints and enrich our Express/Node.js backend. Enhance the MongoDB data model and ensure data integrity. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to maximize speed, scalability, and usability. Maintain quality, reliability, operations, and security of all products. Stay up to date with industry trends and continuously seek opportunities to improve the user experience. Qualifications 7+ years of full‑stack software engineering experience. Proven experience in product‑oriented software development. Proficiency with React, TypeScript, MongoDB, Express (must have). Experience with TailwindCSS, MUI, Vite. Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to think critically about user interactions and system architecture. Ability to work independently and confidently in dynamic situations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Nice to Have Experience in B2B SaaS startups and remote international settings. Familiarity with event‑driven, serverless, and high‑volume architectures. Knowledge of AWS, micro‑services, web security, and Agile methods. Experience with Ruby on Rails, Vitest/Jest, Playwright. Past positions in startups and international contexts.
