Network Engineer with 8+ years of experience and another for a Senior Network Engineer with 10+ years**Job Descripton**Job ResponsibilitiesTechnical SkillsNetwork Architecture:Knowledge of LAN/WAN, VPN, Cloud.Experience with network infrastructure including routers, switches,firewalls, load balancers, wireless, cloud.Network Security:Experience with firewall policy configurations, VPNs, remote access and other security protocols.Network security practices including vulnerability assessments, mitigation and remediation.Network Monitoring, Logging and Troubleshooting:Network monitoring/alerting tooling such as DataDog or equivalent. Logging tools such as Splunk or equivalent.Strong troubleshooting skills in identifying and resolving network issues promptly. Ability to comprehend output data from monitoring tools to identify sources of troubleWireless Networking:Understanding of wireless networking standards.Experience with configuring and managing wireless access points and controllers.Cloud Networking:Familiarity with cloud networking and hybrid cloud environment concepts.Experience with cloud services such as Compute, Firewall, Security Groups, VPC, and Transit GatewayNetDev:Basic understanding of scripting for networking. Experience with Bash, Python or similar. Ability to write code for basic functions like reading from/writing to a file and interacting with an API endpoint to complete tasks. Basic understanding of Git/Github processes.Operational Skills Incident Management:Experience in handling network-related incidents and outages.Ability to work within a structured incident management framework and follow policy.Change Management:Proficiency in managing network changes and ensuring mínimal disruption.Experience with change control processes and documentation.Network Performance Optimization:Experience with network performance analysis and improvement techniques.Documentation and Reporting:Ability to create and maintain detailed network documentation.Experience with generating reports on network performance and incidents.Compliance and Best Practices:Knowledge of network compliance standards and best practicesEnsuring network infrastructure adheres to industry standards and regulations.Communication:Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.Analytical Thinking:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to assess network issues and devise effective solutions.Team Collaboration/leadership:Experience working in a team-oriented environment.Ability to mentor junior network engineers and share knowledge.Adaptability:Ability to adapt to new technologies and methodologies.Willingness to stay updated with industry trends and advancements.resources with deep AWS networking understanding and good documentation skills.
