Responsibilities: Thermodynamics and heat transfer modeling of HVAC equipment for performance evaluation both in system and component levels. Examples of such systems are: Different types of heat exchangers e.g. air-refrigerant fin/tube and microchannel Water-source and air-source heat pumps Chiller plants and centrifugal compressors in both steady state and transient modes fans, motors, mechanical drives, and variable speed technologies Energy recovery systems: heat wheels, air-to air heat exchangers Data analysis of the systems and components for optimization and automation purposes. Develop modules for automating component and system-level calibration Develop tools for creating and processing performance maps (reduce order models) Laboratory testing and validation of HVAC systems. Collaborate on cross functional teams to test our equipment in our laboratories. Qualifications: Four-year degree in mechanical engineering (MS. or PhD. is a plus) Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days HO) Strong understanding of thermodynamics and heat transfer fundamentals. Experienced in modeling and design of experiment (DOE). Familiarity with HVAC equipment Programming knowledge and experience with Modelica , or modelica-based tools like Dymola - Strongly preferred. VapCyc or similar software - Strongly preferred. Fluent Technical English communication Experience in project management (nice to have) Available to be located in Monterrey, NL. Soft Skills: Autonomy and proactiveness. Capable to work under minimum supervision, and to foster collaboration with other teams by proactively engaging internal customers, peers, and other relevant stakeholders. Communication.
