As an Etsy Inc. employee, whether a team member of Etsy, Reverb, or Depop, you will tackle unique, meaningful, and large-scale problems alongside passionate coworkers, all the while making a rewarding impact and Keeping Commerce Human.**What’s the role?**Etsy is seeking a software engineer to join the Inventory Personalization and Customization team This web-focused team is part of the Buyer Experience Initiative, and is dedicated to developing features that improve clarity and interaction with listings which offer both personalizable and customizable options.As a Software Engineer on our team, you will be responsible for:- Building and maintaining software written in PHP and React/Typescript.- Close attention to detail, with the ability to translate design and product requirements to production-ready code.- Strong communication that adapts to technical and non-technical audiences.- Work closely with third-party APIs, such as Zendesk, to provide stellar support to our buyers.- Consistently and proactively breaking down large features into multiple stages for delivery.- Identifying and resolving difficult architectural and technical trade-offs.This is a full-time position reporting to the Engineering Manager.
