Position: Supplier Quality Engineer

Summary
Supervises the execution of Supplier Quality & Development objectives. May lead a team of Technical / Business Support or entry-level professional Quality employees. Sets day-to-day objectives for the achievement of immediate Supplier Quality & Development goals within the area of responsibility.

Profile:

  • Bachelor degree (MBA considered a plus)
  • 3 years experience in managing SQA position or previous experience in the Quality area
  • Fluent in English
  • Knowledge in ISO 9001 (IATF 16949 considered a plus)
  • Proactive and self-directed
  • Team player and agent of change

Job Description

  • Supervises processes related to Supplier Quality & Development initiatives, including supplier qualifications/certifications, assessments, monitoring, escape management, and/or quality issue resolution processes.
  • Supervises implementation of supplier-specific quality initiative strategies.
  • Supervises Supplier Quality-related activities, such as raw material assessments, design of contracted manufactured items, and/or materials packaging; ensuring service providers and laboratories employ good manufacturing practices (GMP) and procurement practices meet or exceed requirements.
  • Supervises processes or standards in support of the Carrier Supplier Gold program, ensuring healthy continuous improvement and sustainability.
  • Supervises processes to ensure that suppliers are capable of meeting all requirements for work transfer and process change management, including Resourcing Gate and Production Part Approval Process (UPPAP) acceptance.

Minimum Requirements
Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching, and process execution. University Degree or equivalent experience and specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices.
