We invite passionate individuals to join our team, dedicated to exceeding customer expectations through innovative and sustainable solutions.The Role: Sensus, a Xylem brand, seeks to hire a Product Specialist, NA Water Metrology who will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to internal and external stakeholders, as well as day-to-day support of the Product Managers for Water Metrology. In this role, the Product Specialist, NA Water Metrology will assist the Product Line Managers in developing new product designs, sizes, market driven modifications and assist in the development of marketing strategies around these product improvements. He/she will further:- Assist Product Line Managers in developing sales/demand forecasts for given product lines- Prepares quotes on non-price book items for marketing and sales teams.- Recommends product improvement and additions to existing product lines based on knowledge of problem resolution and customer requests.- Prepares catalogs, instruction manuals and marketing/promotional literature for customers and sales personnel.- Works with Vertical Marketing to keep on-line information on pricing, product data, etc., up to date and relevant with current product lines- Acts as one of the department’s liaison to the Engineering, Sales, Finance and Operations departments involved in key processes- Participates as a member of product development team(s) to develop, manufacture and release new products for assigned product segment.- Performs all other duties or assignment as directed by the Product Manager- Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activitiesAdditional Areas of Support:Product Strategy- Assists in the development of product roadmap(s) covering positioning and value proposition, per product line, to serve as input into product development resource allocation, business development, and communications- Supports the development of a multi-year roadmap for the NA product lines including; new product development, value improvements, product introductions, ongoing marketing, product support and service- Supports the XPD process by assisting the Product Managers with driving the tollgate process: assisting in developing the business case, PAR, product specification etc. with the understanding of customer and market needs- Supports competitive mapping of strengths and weaknesses of major competitors and understands their “go to market” strategySales and Profitability- Assists with S&OP forecast, for NA Water Metrology product sales and margin plan.- Provide support for strategic pricing guidelines across markets and within the overall vertical, including Price Lists, as well as specific product/segment-focused effortsLifecycle Management- Supports the Product Managers in executing entire product life cycle through phase-out, all while keeping the product line competitive- Identify and execute value engineering opportunities to make sure optimization of the product lines.Minimum Qualifications:- Engineering, Business, or marketing preferred relevant experience- Familiarity with design principles for water meters, including electromagnetic technology, as well as basic understanding of radio equipment and RF network design principles and practice- Demonstrate excellent computer, communication, presentation, management and analytical skills. Be able to resolve difficult technical and business issues.
