No commissions or variable compensation.* About the Organization We are recruiting on behalf of a global procurement and distribution company operating within the ferrous metals market. The organization specializes in supply chain and risk management, supporting primarily OEM customers by managing sourcing, financing, logistics, and processing across domestic and international supply chains. Role Overview The Logistics Specialist will manage the end-to-end movement of materials from origin to destination. This is a high-communication, execution-critical role where you will serve as the primary point of contact with carriers, freight partners, and internal teams to ensure timely and efficient deliveries. This role requires strong spoken English, sound logistics judgment, and the ability to resolve issues in real time. Key Responsibilities Coordinate domestic and international shipments from pickup through final delivery Communicate regularly with carriers, freight brokers, and drivers to schedule pickups and confirm transit status Manage logistics for both U.S.-based and overseas-sourced materials Proactively troubleshoot delays, disruptions, or transit issues Ensure shipping documentation, manifests, and transport logs are accurate and up to date in Teams and Outlook Provide clear status updates to internal stakeholders Qualifications 3–5+ years of experience in logistics, freight coordination, or supply chain management Advanced / fluent spoken English (phone-based communication required) Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage urgent situations Experience in metals, steel, or industrial commodities is a strong plus Comfortable working in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
