**Position Overview**:Nogales Psychological Counseling seeks a qualified Spanish-English Medical Interpreter to facilitate communication between healthcare providers and patients during psychiatric consultations and psychological evaluations. The interpreter will also manage appointment confirmations during non-clinical hours.**Key Responsibilities**:- Provide accurate, confidential interpretation between Spanish-speaking patients and English-speaking healthcare providers during psychiatric sessions and psychological evaluations related to workers' compensation, personal injury, and private cases.- Translate complex medical and psychological terminology with precision.- Ensure adherence to ethical standards, including patient confidentiality and impartiality.- Confirm patient appointments via phone during administrative hours.**Qualifications**:- Fluency in Spanish and English, with demonstrated proficiency in medical terminology.- Minimum of one year of experience interpreting in medical or mental health settings.- Completion of a minimum 40-hour medical interpreter training program; national certification (e.g., CMI, CHI) preferred.- High school diploma or equivalent; higher education in language studies or healthcare is advantageous.- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with electronic health records.**Compensation and Benefits**:- Opportunities for professional development and certification support.- Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance and paid time off.
