Job Description:Category Specialist - Parts C (Plastic, Rubber, Mechanical, Hardware, Labeling)Position Overview:Reporting to the Sourcing Manager, this position plays a key role in executing our strategies with responsibility for sourcing Parts C (Plastic, Rubber, Mechanical, Hardware, Labeling) components in Mexico. This role will also co-ordinate cross functional relationships, including product development/ engineering, materials management, local purchasing, operations, finance and aftermarket.**Responsibilities**:- Responsible for identifying, evaluating, on-boarding and managing relationships with Mexican-based Parts C Suppliers.- Act as the intermediary between Terex and the supplier, providing project management leadership.- Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide a resilient and cost-effective supply chain.- Develops and implements material indexing mechanisms where necessary to maintain cost control.- Acts as part of the team coordinating engineering changes, new product launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions.- Drives continuous improvement and business simplification efforts, effectively building Terex for long term success.- Maintains conduct consistent with company policy, operating procedures, accepted practices and applicable laws.Qualifications:- University degree with focus on procurement, supply chain, engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.- 4+ year’s work experience in the manufacturing industry dealing with suppliers, ideally in the area of Parts C (Plastic, Rubber, Mechanical, Hardware, Labeling).- Strong procurement and strategic sourcing background with focus on direct materials.- Understanding of Make or Buy.- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.- Excellent project management skills and used to work in global, cross-functional teams.- Proven supplier management and negotiation skills; able to reach outcomes that gain the support and acceptance of all involved parties.- Technical Background in electronics industry a plus.- Strong problem-solving aptitude and excellent analytical skills plus high proficiency in MS Office products- Strong communication and listening skills.- Fluent in English (written and spoken); in addition, Spanish or Italian would be ideal.- Must be willing and able to travel (travel is estimated at 25% rising to 75% during periods of supplier assessment and selection).If you are interested in an open position but feel you may not meet all the listed qualifications, we still encourage you to apply.Terex Overview:At Terex, we fully embrace the increasingly diverse world around us and strive to create an empowering and welcoming workplace culture.
