We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.The Markets and Securities Services COOs business management has recognized the need to establish a data analyst role to support MSS business process owners to maintain adherence to the data controls by understanding the requirements, challenging when appropriate and proposing solutions to achieve sustainability.Activitites- Receive and understand data management requirements, and then distil them into actionable tasks for the business- Field questions and challenges on the requirements from the business supported. Coordinate and agree execution schedules between business process owners and Data Analytics Org (DAO)- Develop and maintain good working relationships with the business supported. Gain an understanding of their organization and the nature of their work.- Identify and then contact Business Process Owners (BPOs) / Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) within business, Operations and IT to determine process, system, data element, data quality control, report, or metric details.- Vet the information/data received from the BPO / SMEs to ensure it is compliant and up to standard.- Ensure the business completes their requirements in a timely manner.- Recertify current state inventories with the business supported.RequirementsKnowledge and experience/ qualifications- Years of experience: 2-3 years- Attention to detail combined with a strong delivery focus, meeting aggressive timeframes with quality results.- Ability to interact and build relationships with all levels of internal and external stakeholders- Able to work independently with minimum supervision- Knowledge of data management and data controls.At HSBC we offer our colleagues a greater number of leave days so that they can fully enjoy their wedding, take care of the new member of the family, or grieve the loss of a family member.
