Maintains high ethical standards and professionalism with the ability to handle confidential, private, and sensitive information effectively; preserves individual credibility; and positively interacts with others.**This position is responsible for.**The Senior Accountant applies GAAP principles of accounting to maintain financial data related to inventory, which involves working with several teams across the organization to ensure accuracy of Wholesale and Field inventory. This involves posting standard recurring entries, ad hoc entries as needed and preparing monthly account reconciliations. Cross trains and backs up Senior Cost Accountant as needed. Performs analysis for management and provides deliverables to third parties, such as external auditors during the annual audit.**Your day will be very busyyou will**:- Performs monthly close duties including posting standard and ad hoc journal entries related to assigned areas of responsibility, such as, Inventory and Cost of Sales.- Oversees inventory reserves, such as Warranty and Excess & Obsolete, and posts adjustments as required.- Prepares accurate general ledger account reconciliations and ensures that open items are resolved in a timely manner.- Monitors inventory levels, variances to budget, and prepares analysis and presentations as needed to communicate relevant information to supervisor and management.- Assists with the annual external audit by preparing audit schedules and providing audit support as requested.- Works closely with Manufacturing and Distribution Operations team at multiple locations to ensure inventory is transacted properly and proper procedures and controls are in place. Involves building and maintaining relationships with key team members working remotely.- Trains on costing methodology and supports Senior Cost Accountant with costing duties as needed.- Assists leadership with implementation and analysis related to projects and ad hoc requests.- Identifies, ranks and drives process improvements.- Maintains related files and records in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.**What your background will be**:- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred/related career or equivalent experience.5+ years Accounting experience.Knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance is highly preferred.Medical Device or other Life Science industry experience is preferred.Strong analytical and technical skills are required.Strong computerized accounting skills and advanced spreadsheet skills; proficiency in the use of Oracle or similar ERP system strongly preferred.**Work Schedule**: Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm**Work Location**: Calzada Venustiano Carranza 33 Palaco Industrial Park Mexicali, Baja CaliforniaApplicants must be currently authorized to work in Mexico on a full-time basis.
