System Technician

**Summary**:A high energy technically skilled individual who is motivated to support an engineering team.**Responsibilities**:- Product test setup owner and executioner of product integration tests- Local test bench and product flash/reflash owner- Lab technician who makes product hardware modifications locally to expedite prototype development and delivery- Performs product/vehicle calibration and testing- Supports resolution of open issues and system testing- Manages field returns and part logistics for the engineering team- Provides data to customer specific information systems- Preparation of test property (benches, vehicles, validation, etc.) harnesses and components.- Local test bench and product reflash support- Preparation of test cars for system tests- Driving test car during system tests- Monitors and maintains laboratory equipment.- BOM and Mechanization/schematic updates to test benches- Support material/equipment purchasing and maintain the lab inventory- Support the product shipping and labelling activities- Support the requirement management process in Polarion as needed- Perform System checkout testing on post build hardware- Engineer support for multiple automotive projects- Design and build electronic module simulators & breakout boxes- Build, test, and repair of electrical harnesses- Test and repair of circuit boards; surface mount soldering- Perform highly detailed test procedures**Authorities**:- Test vehicles updates- Raise / re-open problems / defects based on test failures evidences- Re-verify and close/re-open bugs based test evidence- Lab equipment and inventory management.**Must Haves (Basic Qualifications)**:- Associate degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent- 2+ years related experience- Calibrate test equipment to meet the defined standards- Basic understanding of instrumentation and process control- Use common electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters and logic analyzers to troubleshoot equipment failures- Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics- Ability to test and repair both stick lead and surface mount components- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Self-driven, detailed oriented and well organized- Fluent in English- Ability to work in an international, fast-pace environment- Microsoft Office experience**Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications)**:- Experience with Jira, Polarion, Confluence, Visio, Enterprise Architect- Vector CAN tool with CANoe software experience**Aptiv Rewards and Advantages**:- Interesting career in a leading, world-recognized company;- Opportunity to professional growth and personal development in an international environment- Ability to implement own ideas and solutions**About Advanced Safety & User Experience**Advanced Safety & User Experience encompasses our deep expertise in centralized computing platforms, advanced safety systems and automated driving, while acknowledging the growth in areas that enrich the in-vehicle experience.**Some see differences.
