The Financial Reporting Junior Accountant position will report to the Financial Reporting Manager. Responsibilities include preparing supporting schedules for financial reporting (internal and external) and month-end close, preparing and maintaining memorandums on various technical accounting matters, assisting with auditor requests, and other ad hoc requests as assigned.To be successful in this role, the Financial Reporting Junior Accountant should prepare high-quality work within our reporting deadlines. The Financial Reporting Junior Accountant should also be organized and be proactive, willing to learn about the different areas of the business and foster relationships with the team and other departments.**Position tasks / Responsibilities**:- Assist with preparing annual and quarterly financial statements, footnote disclosures, and memos.- Prepare monthly internal key reports that are distributed to executives.- Prepare specific journal entries and supporting schedules that are needed for month-end close.- Assist with the preparation of various items needed for the annual audit. This includes preparing and compiling supporting schedules and reports required for sample selections.- Interact with local auditors when needed regarding information/documentation requirements.- Keep current on new accounting pronouncements and its impact to the company.- Ad hoc projects and assignments as allocated by the Financial Reporting Manager.- Participate in the implementation of process improvements and automation initiatives.**Requirements**:- Bachelor’s degree focused in accounting or a related field.- Proficient in English - both written and spoken- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel- MX Financial Reporting Standards practice**Desirable Requirements**: (Not Mandatory)- US Generally Accepted Accounting Principle- Accounting ERP experience (SAP, etc.)- Understanding of the relationship of all financial statements**Skills Assessments**- Self-starter, takes initiative, ability to multi-task.- Analytical mind with attention to detail.- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.- Highly organized and detail oriented.
