Financial Controller

We are hiring a Financial controller for the Latin America business (~50M revenue for applied and ~15M for controls) within the applied NA products business unit to support our Global Products teams selling applied and controls products in Latin America. This individual will act as the business partner to our Latin America General Manager and will be spear-heading the financial quarterly forecasts, annual budgeting and outlook processes along with full responsibility on the P&L and trade working capital actual results. S/he will provide support to the extended staff of the General Manager including preparing financial presentations, ad hoc and variance financial analysis, channel profitability analysis, strategic plans, transformation Financials and other projects requested. This individual acts as the analytical engine to provide insights and supports “optimal” business decision making as well as the link to broader applied business Finance imperatives. **This person will also be asked to provide support to balance sheet analysis of the whole Applied NA business, including interacting with the IBC to look at account reconciliations, assess large balances like the prepaid account, etc.**The LATAM financial controller reports directly to the HVACR Americas Sr. Director. This position has dotted line reporting into the controls CFO.Position Responsibilities:- Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses, TWC and capital expenditures- Act as intermediary for close cooperation and effective communication between the business and record to report, intercompany and accounting groups driving proper allocation of activities and responsibilities per agreed taxonomies and SLAs with our regional business centers- Act as first escalation point for issues that don’t get resolved between Finance regional support teams and business functions- Maintain a robust internal control environment where applicable at regional level and ensure compliance to corporate accounting principles and policies. Ensure that all internal accounting procedures and policies are sound and in compliance with SEC and US GAAP rules and regulations. Ensure annual external audits are done in timely/effective manner- Manage working capital metrics and monitor operating expenses to ensure efficiencies and effectiveness are maintained- Provide oversight of all financial activities including budget, forecasting and cash flow- Analyze and evaluate ways to optimize margins and available cash and cash flow- Coordinate all of our OTC efforts with the regional collections group and the business to minimize past dues ensuring root cause issues are properly addressed by the Collections group. Lead all trade working capital initiatives and reporting.- Ensure all Applied/ Controls Finance reporting and deliverables are met timely and accurately- Partner with the business leader/s to oversee development of long-range strategic plans for the business- As a member of the business Leadership Team, participate in regular meetings keeping current on the business operations providing direction and support to the Division from a finance perspective- Participate in regular Operations & forecast meetings with the business leader, reviewing financial results and identify barriers to meeting goalsQualifications:- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance- 7+ years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis or equivalent experience in Accounting/Finance.- Strong customer and business orientation and desire to develop business acumen- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills. Hyperion Enterprise and Essbase knowledge highly required.- Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.- Ability to think creatively, highly driven and self-motivated- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and preferably previous interactions with senior leadership, ability to influence across the organization and work in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment- Fluent in English and additional language an advantage
