We operate out of hubs sites including in the UK, Sweden, US and out of our Global Innovation Technology Centres in India and Mexico - and in markets all over the world.In Commercial IT, we are focussed on smoothing the Patient and HCP journey through Digital Innovation and supporting the growth of the business through impactful launches, field effectiveness and digital/omni channel capabilities - all founded on deep partnerships with our business colleagues. Our internal capabilities are predominantly created and delivered by our global IT organisations and are cloud based and mobile enabled - this includes Infrastructure.International Commercial consists of markets in Asia, MEA, LATAM, Australia, New Zealand and Russia with a revenue of close to USD 6bn. International is a dynamic, collaborative and fast-growing business.**Job role**We are looking to appoint an Artificial Intelligence lead accountable for partnering with the Region, Area and Market level Commercial and Medical teams for creating, driving adoption of, and delivering value from AI powered capabilities.This role works with business and IT teams across the International region to own and drive engagement around new AI technologies, partnerships and projects. You will also drive developing and maturing a region wide approach to Artificial Intelligence and Data Science in enabling and redefining business processes, as well as towards improving patient outcomes. The role will be partnering with Commercial IT, and Enterprise Data & AI leaders in developing an aligned strategy for AI service and delivery, including build, buy or partner decision making. Provide thought leadership of what AI & Data Science can do to advance our business, own the identification of business problems, develop and present cases, ensure successful delivery and life cycle management of solutions, and leverage internal and external technology ecosystem to create maximum value.**Key accountabilities**- Manage, update and enhance our global AI catalogue with a region wide inventory of AI enabled partnerships, projects and processes, and create a mechanism to capture of value consistently across AI projects.- Establish go-to-market strategy for AI solutions, create right governance for lifecycle management, define metrics to collect value realisation, and support scaling of solutions/partners meeting or exceeding business needs- Support publications, presentations, and communications - both internally and externally, on AI thought leadership by AZ- Establish close collaboration with all AI partners across the Enterprise to ensure input and adoption of AI services- Work closely with compliance, information security, audit, privacy and regulatory functions to ensure existing and planned AI projects and partnerships meet all governance requirements, and pass any requisite internal/external audits as required by our standard operating procedures, risk management frameworks, responsible use of AI principles, FAIR use of AI principles, Software as a Medical Device etc.- Ensure success and usage of developer tooling within our data science and AI area- Liaise with other teams to enhance our technological stack, to enable the adoption of the latest advances in data pipelines and AI- Facilitate AI excellence among relevant business roles in International region by using global AI upskilling programmes and create educational pathways to upskill business and IT teams on AI**Essential skills & experience**- Experience working in the pharmaceutical industry with data or AI related background- Experience and demonstrable skills on project in one or more of the following areas: classical machine learning, recommendation systems, natural language processing or computer vision.- Been involved in AI projects from ideation to proof of concept to pilot/go-to-market to scaling.- Experience running enterprise technology projects, inc
