We are experts in the fields we operate in, investing in training, science, innovation, and technology, and affording our employees opportunities for growth and development.**Position Summary**This is an exciting opportunity for a creative, technically proficient designer to influence the future of Nysonian’s manufacturing capabilities through smart, functional, and ergonomic product innovations.**Key Responsibilities**- Conduct in-depth **user research**, ergonomic studies, and workflow analysis within the plant to identify design improvement opportunities.- Lead the **ideation, conceptualization, and development** of innovative physical products, tools, and mechanical systems used in manufacturing.- Create and iterate **3D models**, technical drawings, and design specifications using industry-standard CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—engineering, production, safety, and quality assurance—to ensure technical feasibility and operational alignment.- Develop and test **functional prototypes** using rapid prototyping technologies and conduct **field trials** to validate performance and user experience.- Maintain accurate design documentation, including BOMs, change logs, and compliance records.- Stay abreast of emerging trends in materials, industrial design, and factory automation technologies.**Required Qualifications**- Bachelor’s degree in **Industrial Design**, **Product Design**, **Mechanical Engineering**, or a related discipline.- Minimum of **5 years of experience** in physical product design, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment.- Advanced proficiency in **CAD software** (SolidWorks, Autodesk, or similar) and 3D rendering tools.- Proven experience in **prototyping**, **mechanical testing**, and **design validation**.- Strong understanding of **materials science**, **manufacturing processes**, and **ergonomics**.- Ability to synthesize technical requirements, user insights, and operational goals into cohesive design solutions.- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.- Fluency in **Spanish**; working knowledge of **English** is strongly preferred.**Preferred Qualifications**- Experience with **Lean Manufacturing**, **Kaizen**, or **Six Sigma** methodologies.- Familiarity with **ISO standards** and **safety compliance** in industrial settings.- Hands-on fabrication or workshop experience is a plus.- Experience designing for **heavy equipment**, **mechanical tooling**, or **assembly line systems**.Pay: $25,000.00 - $35,000.00 per month**Experience**:- product designer: 4 years (preferred)**Language**:- English (preferred)Work Location: In person
