Sr Assoc, Payroll Tax Accounting

**Country**:Mexico**Location**:LOC5017: Carrier - Finance Shared, Galeana 469 Ote, Santa Catarina, 66350 Mexico**About the Role**As an established accounting payroll professional, you will be a key member of the Carrier payroll accounting and tax team. This team is responsible for several critical functions within the organization, including:- Handling the accounting side of payroll for multiple US entities.- Analyzing and reconciling data from US payroll to various ERP systems via interactions in ADP, BlackLine, SAP, and S4Hana.- Verifying GL account mapping is correct and managing consolidated accounts, including 401k, taxes, and other accounts.- Reconciling, researching, and executing requirements to maintain accurate and compliant payroll accounting.In this role, you will manage payroll accounting activities, maintain and assist in collecting and analyzing payroll-related data with a full understanding of payroll policies, controls, tax and wage and hour laws. Additionally, you will collect input for and respond to queries, and participate in audits, reconciliations, and projects.**Role Responsibilities**- Maintain US payroll accounting information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.- Perform activities necessary to balance and reconcile GL accounts.- Resolves discrepancies and inquires.- Assure compliance with US, company payroll and accounting policies.- Supports clients and business partners by providing accurate, relevant, and timely data.- Manage, report and mistake proof escapes & turn-backs.- Support regional/global initiatives; execution of process/continuous improvement.- Liaison with internal/external auditors on payroll related audits.**Requirements**:- Education/Certifications:- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.- Payroll certifications (FPC, CPP, CPA) are a plus.- 1 to 3 years of experience in payroll accounting.- Strong understanding of payroll accounting principles and practices.- Experience with global payroll systems (e.g., Global ADP) and accounting systems (e.g., Blackline, SAP, S4Hana) is a significant advantage.- Ability to perform account reconciliations and respond to specific inquiries regarding these processes.**Technical Skills**- Excel: Experience in account reconciliations and bank reconciliations.
