**YOUR IMPACT**:A Cost EstimatorDevelops manufacturing cost estimates for purchased components to support (but not limited to): Forward Model Programs in key Milestones, Current Model cost reduction work, Commodity Business Planning and BenchmarkingSupports integration of costing tools and processes such as target setting developmentActively support Purchasing department during cost negotiationsParticipates in Supplier site visitsPerforms cost driver analysis and evaluates the impact of future technology actionsEvaluates potential designs, from a manufacturing process perspective and highlight potential opportunitiesMakes change control analysis for cost increases over agreed thresholds**WHAT YOU’LL NEED**:- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering, or related engineering degree- English proficiency- 2+ years of experience at a Manufacturing Plant or in Engineering / Purchasing area- Understanding of main concepts of Lean Manufacturing- Knowledge of some of the following Manufacturing Processes: Harness, Cables, Plastic Injection Molding, General Assembly- Capable to read schematics- Teamcenter (or any other viewer) for 2D/3D visualization- Knowledge of any Costing Process- Experience in data analytics desirable**DISCLAIMER**:Ford Motor Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer, as we are committed with a diverse workforce, and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, status as a veteran and basis of disability.
