Descripción y detalle de las actividades- Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements in all molding engineering activities.- knowledge of the design, build, and procurement of mold tooling to meet electronics industry quality and production standards.- Responsible of implementation of new molding technologies.- Using data driven analytical problem-solving techniques (Six Sigma, DMAIC, 8D) to find root cause and implement effective corrective actions for process capability improvement.- Providing molding expertise to assigned New Product Development projects while ensuring key deliverables are met per project schedules, including new technologies and transfers.- Train and mentor maintenance and automation staff on molding techniques and best practices.- Working with Supply Chain and Procurement teams on sourcing molded components and supporting external supply base as necessary.- Monitoring and analyzing molding process data, identifying trends and proposing solutions for process improvement continuously.- Identifying and implementing molding process improvements to reduce cycle times, minimize waste and increase efficiency.Experiência y requisitos- Bachelor’s degree in Molding Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent with specialized experience in molding processes.- 5+ years of experience as a molding engineer- in a manufacturing environment.- Strong knowledge of process optimization techniques, lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies and statistical analysis.- Advanced knowledge of mold processing and tooling designs for thermoplastics, thermosets and silicones are required. Knowledge and experience in processing engineered resins is a plus.- Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Moldflow software knowledge to support mold/tooling design reviews.- Proficient in MS Office Software such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
