Senior Welding Engineer

Then we have an interesting position in Grundfos for you_**What is the job about?**As a Senior Welding Engineer you will define, follow up and maintain standards, records and reaction plans related to the welding processes and technologies under his/her command for correct execution and management of the manufacturing processes in the operation.You will be responsible to analyze, assess and improve process, machine & equipment performance in terms of health, safety, quality and productivity in accordance with Grundfos values, codes of conduct and standards.This position reports directly to our Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager and will operate out of the San Luis Potosi, Mexico facility daily.**Your main responsibilities**:PRT’S (Process Review Teams) & Technical Support to Production line.- Develop and document process standards for the technologies on his/her charge: parameters, records, reaction plans, consumables and spare parts.- Measure and analyze process, machine and equipment performance though OPR and FTT.- Lead improvement activities for process quality and productivity.- Support training and development of skills and competences for quality, maintenance and production technical staff.- Join production teams in the problem-solving processes.- To be the main point of contact for AME (Advanced Manufacturing Engineering) for project development when needed.Projects- To lead and develop projects for the introduction of new equipment, technologies and changes to processes and products.- To be able to manage fundings from different budget and types: CAPEX - OPEX, local - nonlocal.Risk Management- Perform equipment capacity and obsolescence studies as an input for elaborating the 1-5-year investment plan.- To work with P-FMEA identifying risks of failure and developing actions plans to reduce and / or mitigate them.- To perform safety risk evaluation in his/her workplace as well as in the processes and equipment on his/her charge following AME standards.Environment, Health & Safety- Participate and collaborate in activities related to comply with EHS programs and procedures, as well as the achievement of its targets.**Your background**We imagine that you have:- Degree as industrial engineer, mechanical engineer, metallurgist engineer, mechatronic Eng. or similar.- Master’s degree is desirable.- Welding certificate (AWS, CWI or similar)- At least 10 years of experience as a welding engineer.- GD&T Knowledge, drawing interpretation (geometry analysis and tolerances).- Basis for Lean Manufacturing (VSM, SMED, Std.
