We are seeking a proactive and skilled Senior Java Software Engineer to join our Developer Experience team, dedicated to enhancing developer productivity and streamlining workflows. You will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing backend solutions, integrating enterprise systems, and creating tools that empower engineering teams to deliver efficiently. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain backend APIs and integrations to optimize workflows and improve platform capabilities Collaborate with engineering teams and shared services to identify and resolve developer pain points Build integrations with enterprise systems such as Kafka, ServiceNow, and Snowflake Analyze developer workflows using metrics to identify areas of friction and recommend improvements Contribute to the evolution of a dynamic team environment, offering innovative ideas and adaptive solutions Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and refine processes Requirements At least 3+ years of experience in software engineering or related roles Strong experience in backend development with Java and Kotlin Expertise in developing RESTful APIs and middleware integrations Familiarity with Kafka, Snowflake, and ServiceNow or similar enterprise systems Capability to adapt to fast-paced and evolving environments with minimal guidance Skills in collaborating across teams and conveying technical concepts effectively Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level Nice to have Exposure to frontend technologies such as ReactJS and TypeScript Familiarity with developer tooling platforms or internal shared services Understanding of observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog or Prometheus We offer International projects with top brands Work with global teams of highly skilled, diverse peers Employee financial programs Paid time off and sick leave Upskilling, reskilling and certification courses Unlimited access to the LinkedIn Learning library and 22,000+ courses Global career opportunities Volunteer and community involvement opportunities EPAM Employee Groups Award-winning culture recognized by Glassdoor, Newsweek and LinkedIn Job details Seniority level: Mid-Senior level Employment type: Full-time Job function: Information Technology, Engineering, and Business Development Industries: Software Development, IT Services and IT Consulting, and Retail We’re unlocking community knowledge in a new way.
