Your tasksShape the future with your ideas as Systems Engineer at Continental Engineering Services in the Driveline and Electrification Segment and the eMobility environment.The Systems Engineer is responsible for:- Customer and Internal Requirements Management- Requirement Development of the Product/System.- System Architecture Definition- Functional Safety ManagementMain Tasks:- Import customer specifications into requirements management tool- Generates and maintains a list of internal and customer specifications, including analysis and evaluation of the included requirements. Assess and edit continuous Design changes from internal and external stakeholders- Coordinates the management of requirements together with the other R&D disciplines- Develop tools to improve System Engineering processes and activities- Coordination, optimization and ensure completeness of requirements interfaces towards the customer- Ensures a complete and released set of requirements on System level for the product/platform, clarifies and refines customer requirements involving all stakeholders.- Discuss functions with the customer and implement Design Change Request Implementation- Support Platform development- Define advanced functionality and work out deviations between requirements and quote documentation- Drive/steer, support and monitor the implementation of the FSM (Functional Safety Management ISO-26262) process as required by the project(s)- Lead FSM technical discussions (prepare / present responses) with customers.- Creation of the Project Safety Plan as part of the overall project plan. Plan and coordinate FSM reviews and supporting the outcome. Development of the Safety Concept strategy with project team.- Creation of safety related work products in accordance with the project needs.- Organize and lead technical meetings with R&D engineers assigned to project and/or Customer- Work with component suppliers and development partners to select technologies- Close collaboration with disciplines responsible (EE, SW, MD, CFT,...) and provide assistance to Resident Engineer and/or other R&D domains in finding the root cause of customer bench and or vehicle issues including EOL test plan development.- Support colleagues in improvements of work processes- Coaching of new employees**Profile**:**Qualifications**:- Bachelor’s degree or above in automotive, mechatronics, electrics and electronics, computer technology or any other related field.- More than 4 years of experience in product development of ECU in the auto industry.- Strong English technical communications skills.- Familiar with automotive product life cycle.- Experience using doors, Jira, MS Office package.- Analytical thinking and strong communication skills.- Ability to prepare system requirements specifications, system verification specifications, and system verification results analysis and summary.- Experience on different powertrain topologies.- Ability to take initiative, make decisions and deliver results without supervision.- High level of motivation and commitment- Ability to work on a multicultural environment.- Experience coaching/guiding less experienced engineers.- Willingness to travel for training and Go-&-See (internationally and/or domestically).**Offer**:About usContinental develops pioneering technologies and services for sustainable and connected mobility of people and their goods.
