**Job Details**The Product Engineer is responsible for mechanical and electrical engineering analysis, detailed design and development of special requirements, as well as selection of air**How you will do it**:- Investigates and analyzes product design proposals and able to conceptualize and implement design ideas into the product.- Proficient at preparing, checking, and coordinating the release of documentation to support designs.- Responsible for the accurate completion of projects.- Proficient at selecting the most suitable electrical and mechanical components.- Uses standard and sophisticated technical and mathematical principles, theories, concepts, techniques, processes, and standard methodologies in field.- Responsible for engineering drawings including electrical schematics, bill of materials.- Experience with mechanical systems and material resource planning (MRP) software also a plus.- Adheres to the Company’s Code of Conduct and Business Ethics standards.- Implementing prevention risks tools such as DFMEA.- Creates specifications, requirements, and criteria for concepts, performance, and production- Designs and develops devices in accordance with the various phases of a program schedule.- Develops, maintains, and releases engineering drawings, system designs, or engineering documentation.- Provides manufacturing support ensuring products are built according to customer requirements and product specifications.- Performs failure analysis and corrective actions when necessary**What we look for****Required**- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, mechanical, or related field)- Minimum 5 year of product development experience- SAP operational knowledge.- Able to speak to technical and non-technical audiences, as well as absorb and use technical documentation.- Ability to work in a fast-paced, schedule driven, team-oriented environment.- Travel domestically and internationally required (up to 10% of time)**Preferred**- HVAC or research and development experience.- Experience in bills of material maintenance, engineering changes or super-user capabilities in unrelated modules.- Product Lifecycle Management experience.- Familiarity with HVAC Systems and electromechanical engineering design and test is helpful.- Knowledge of design core tools.Johnson Controls does not request pregnancy or HIV testing as a requirement for admission, permanence or promotion.
