Job Description : The Merchant Pricing & Fx Analytics-ML team at PayPal plays a critical role in driving acceleration for PayPal's top and bottom line by using the scientific method to advocate for decisions founded in data-driven insights. This team sits at the intersection of Strategy, Product, and Sales, and has a front-row seat to Senior Leadership discussions on PayPal's monetization strategy. The team is seeking an exceptional data scientist with a passion for problem solving and a relentless execution focus. This role will drive high impact for the business from week one and as such must have a well-rounded skill set including an excellent technical background and keen business acumen. What You Will Do : Become a domain expert in Pricing & FX and conduct rigorous data analysis to drive meaningful financial benefit for PayPal without jeopardizing customer experience Perform deep-dive analytics including Causal Inference analysis, Pre-Post analysis, Sensitivity analysis, Financial projections, and additional ad-hoc exercises to provide holistic recommendations for segment level Pricing optimizations Work cross-functionally with Strategy, FP&A, Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to drive world-class solutions and design hypothesis-driven experiments; make clear, coherent, and holistic recommendations based on test results Develop predictive models to articulate the value of new initiatives, changes to existing initiatives, and process improvements. Develop anomaly detection models and business-friendly reporting tools / dashboards to monitor overall pricing hygiene, analyze portfolio trends, and flag any opportunities or issues Leverage the Objective & Key Results (OKR) framework to identify success metrics and monitor performance through dashboards and ad hoc analysis Identify key metrics, conduct rigorous explorative data analysis, create exec-facing dashboards, and build business cases that drive decision-making and business prioritization Support multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment Our Benefits : At PayPal, we're committed to building an equitable and inclusive global economy.
