Descripción y detalle de las actividades**SUMMARY**- Assist Department Managers and Manufacturing Engineers to improve processes and equipment to continually improve our methods of production.- Perform preventive maintenance tasks thoroughly and on time to keep production machinery in optimal working condition.- Repair and maintain production equipment to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.Experiência y requisitos**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**- Engineering projects._- Work with Department Managers and Manufacturing Engineers on developing and qualifying new methods to continually improve our production.- Report on findings during the evaluation process and suggestalternatives.- Create fixtures and testing apparatus for Department Managers and Manufacturing Engineers.- Production equipment upkeep and repair._- Respond quickly to requests to repair equipment malfunctions.- Trouble shoot system faults (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic), repair and re-qualify equipment or processes.- Make a record of repairs performed.- Preventive maintenance._- Perform daily preventive maintenance on production equipment, utilizing established procedures and schedules.- Troubleshoot system faults that become evident through preventive maintenance procedures.- Collaborate with others assigned to perform preventive maintenance.- Work Center/Production area assignments._- Work closely with Manufacturing Engineer and shift Foreman to monitor equipment for proper functioning.- Utilize existing preventive maintenance procedures to avoid equipment down time.- Look for ways to improve preventive maintenance procedures and processes.- Audit equipment records for proper prints, back up stock, and manual and troubleshooting instructions.- Complete scheduled projects._- Fabricate metal components using available shop equipment for standard, repetitive, or medium complexity items.- Fabricate wood jigs and miscellaneous items using wood crafting equipment, as assigned.**GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be ableto perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
