Team Overview

This role is responsible for one or more domains of credit risk management. It could involve approval credit risk underwriting policy, initial credit line risk underwriting policy, or existing credit line management policy. For the responsible domains, the director is responsible for designing the overall structure and framework of underwriting, leading the team to construct the underwriting, understanding how to evaluate and analyze policies, and being able to articulate the pros and cons of each version. Ultimately, the director is responsible for the portfolio, including size and profitability.

Role Responsibilities
  • Leading the credit risk team;
  • Responsible for one or more domains of the credit risk underwriting policies;
  • Responsible for the size and quality of the domain portfolio;
  • Designing the structure and framework of the underwriting policy;
  • Evaluating the efficiency of policy by implementing test/control strategies;
  • Understanding market standards to make informed decisions.
Role Qualifications
  • Over 8 years of experience working with credit risk underwriting policies, with at least 3 years in the MX market credit card;
  • A strong quantitative background, familiar with all quantitative analysis skills necessary for policy analysis;
  • Managed or been responsible for a portfolio size of at least 150MM USD and has experience designing the overall framework and structure of that portfolio;
  • Understanding of credit risk management, knowing how each coefficient of the credit offer interacts and impacts the portfolio;
  • Experience managing a team of at least 5 members;
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
