Purchasing Director
We are a leading company in importing and selling fish and seafood in Mexico, committed to delivering high-quality products and exceptional service to our customers. We seek a highly experienced and strategic Purchasing Director to join our dynamic team, particularly one with extensive negotiation experience with Asian countries.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the purchasing department to develop and implement optimal procurement strategies.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, particularly in Asia, to secure the best terms and quality.
Conduct market analysis and monitor trends to identify new opportunities and mitigate risks.
Oversee demand planning to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Lead and mentored a team of procurement professionals to achieve departmental and company goals.
Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and company policies.
Requirements:
Minimum of 15 years of experience in procurement, with significant experience working with Asian suppliers.
Advanced English proficiency.
Proven track record in demand planning, team leadership, supplier development, market analysis, and contract negotiation.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
In-depth understanding of international trade regulations and logistics.
