We offer a highly collaborative, caring team environment with a strong focus on learning and development, recognition for your individual contributions, and a variety of benefit options for you to choose from.**What you'll do**As a Senior Cloud Platform Enabler (Windows OS) - IT Technology Services Senior Specialist you are responsible for:- Conceptual design, configuration and administration of server landscapes with focus on Windows Operating systems- Cloud administration skills- Design and implement automation workflows for cloud-native environments using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, etc.- Drive innovation to optimize, automate and standardize the operational delivery processes- Managing the daily operations, ensure high availability- Strong collaboration with server management units in the Service Centers of Global IT IS- Strong alignment and close cooperation with internal customers and partners- Willingness to take on call duty**What you bring**EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIESYour strengths are:- Advanced technical background for server operating systems (Windows)- Practical experience with Cluster & HA solutions is preferable.- IT Security knowledge.- Microsoft Azure administration skills- Experience on large, non-homogeneous landscapes- BladeLogic, scripting experience (Perl, Shell,) is a plus- You like to work in international teams, communicating in English fluentlyWORK EXPERIENCE- 5+ year work experience in server administration (3rd level support)- Multiyear, intercultural work experience in international teams- IT process map (Incident and Problem Management)SKILL DESCRIPTION- 10+ years’ experience in Windows administration.- 5+ years’ experience in LVM, Multipath, OS patch package management, disaster recovery.- Strong knowledge of cloud-native technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.).- Proficiency in automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, etc.).- Expertise in network security solutions and protocols (SSL/TLS, VPNs, firewalls, etc.).- Good to have: BladeLogic operation, Hypervisor operation (VMWare, Xen or related), Nagios, Sophos, Legato, SAP certifications related to SAP BTP.**Meet your team**As part of BSS team, the “Cloud Platform enablement” team is focusing on shared infrastructure services. Main locations of BSS are Germany, Mexico and India. Operations are focused on high available infrastructure landscapes (server cluster, operating systems with support of storage systems).Driving continuous improvement is one main lever to increase operation availability and efficiency. Infrastructure landscape re architecture and new technology adoption is another important part.
