Software Development Senior Specialist

**Req ID**: We are currently seeking a Software Development Senior Specialist to join our team in Guadalajara, Jalisco (MX-JAL), Mexico (MX).Day to Day job Duties:9+ overall Software expereinceTitle **:DevOps Engineer****Core Technical skills**Hands-on software development experience (preferably in Java, Python, or equivalent languages)Strong Unix/Linux expertise, including Perl/shell scripting and system administrationKnowledge of programing languages like Core Java or similarCI/CD tools experience (e.g. Jenkins, Gitlab, SVN etc.)Working experience using Autosys batch scheduling system e.g. creating and maintaining autosys jobs, troubleshooting job failures etc.Experience with migration of batch processing systems or similar projectsStrong troubleshooting skills for build failures, testing issues and deployment errorsCollaboration effectively with functional SMEs to plan and execute large-scale migrations.Should be proficient in environment setup, testing, migration execution, and automation.**Tools**:Familiarity with Eclipse/IntelliJKnowledge of scripting languages like Shell/Python/PerlKnowledge of working with Unix environmentSome knowledge of database management systems (e.g., Sybase)Exposure to scheduling tools like Autosys, Control-M, Cron etc.Familiarity with SDLC tools, Change Management, Version Control etc.Certification in Autosys or related technologies.**Migration & Deployment Activities**:Deploy software using CI/CD tools and ensure smooth software rolloutsExecute UAT and production parallel tests, analyze results and troubleshoot discrepanciesTroubleshoot build failures, deployment failures, and testing failures during migrationFollow firm's change management procedures to ensure compliance and risk mitigationMust be able to multitask and work well under pressure**Batch Scheduling & Automation**Manage and configure Autosys instances and Procmon master (GS product) for migrationsOptimize batch processing workflows and Troubleshoot and resolve job failures in the new platform**Planning & Execution**:Develop detailed migration plans, including risk assessment and rollback strategiesConduct pre-mortem calls to review migration plans and remediate potential challengesExecute migrations in a structured and controlled manner, ensuring mínimal downtimeWorking with the Appbank support team, perform post-migration validation and checks to confirm system stabilityDevelop utilities and automation tools to streamline the migration processEnhance migration efficiency through custom scripts and automation frameworksWork closely with functional SMEs, developers, QA teams and infrastructure engineersCommunicate migration timelines, risks, and status updates to stakeholdersDocument processes and provide knowledge transfer to relevant teamsAbility to execute UAT and production parallel tests, compare results and identify discrepanciesExperience in environment setup and software deployment in lower environmentsFamiliarity with test automation frameworks and debugging methodologiesExperience in creating detailed migration plans and executing them successfullyAbility to run pre-mortem calls, identify potential migration risks and mitigate issuesUnderstanding of IT change management processes and best practicesExperience in building custom tools/utilities to support migration effortsExposure to IaC (Infrastructure as code) tools like terraform (preferred)Softskills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills to work with cross-functional teamsAbility to document processes and train stakeholders as neededTeam-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to challenges**About NTT DATA
