This individual will lead a product development team and be responsible for driving and shaping the culture within that team. The role involves designing and developing embedded software for products across a wide range of industries , managing project success, and leading local continuous improvement activities.****Key Job Accountabilities:***** Serve as a technical specialist, leader, and mentor within the embedded software discipline.* Lead local continuous improvement activities associated with the engineering discipline and/or project-level tools or processes.* Ensure the technical success of programs by understanding customer needs, staffing with appropriate resources, and driving continuous improvement of tools and processes.* Exemplify and hold the team accountable to demonstrating the Plexus Core Values.* Expand and grow technical and leadership competencies by hiring diverse and high potential talent.* Focus on evaluating potential, driving succession planning, and ensuring employees receive the development and coaching required to realize their full potential.* Partner with the Site Leadership Team in areas of staffing, training, and development to ensure long-range goals and objectives are met.* Collaborate with other Design Center leaders globally to effectively and appropriately utilize all resources and provide expected levels of support.### ****Education/Experience Qualifications***** A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is required.* Five (5) or more years of related experience is preferred.* Two (2) years of Project Management experience is preferred.* Experience with Design patterns and principles is preferred.* Strong understanding and working experience with object-oriented programming (OOP) is preferred.* Highly proficient in modern C++.* Strong understanding of embedded systems architecture and real-time operating systems (RTOS).* Ability to work cross functionally.**This document does not represent a contract of employment and is not intended to capture every possible assignment the incumbent could be asked to perform.**#J-18808-Ljbffr
