**Position Summary**:This position will lead all aspects of the Cooper Standard Automotive Mexico tax department, including tax accounting, compliance, planning and transfer pricing. This position will be responsible for the various tax responsibilities related to the Cooper Standard Automotive Mexico operations.**Primary Responsibilities**:- Lead all Mexico tax reporting, compliance and advisory, managing work performed by both internal personnel and external consulting firms- Lead US GAAP income tax reporting under ASC 740 (quarterly and annually) for Mexico entities- Oversee Mexican VAT compliance processes, including refunds and account reconciliations- Preparation of the Maquiladora income calculations for various Cooper Standard Maquiladora operations- Manage Mexico GAAP/statutory financial reporting process, working closely with Mexico accounting team- Manage ad-hoc projects that may have Mexican income tax or VAT implications, such as business development, M&A initiatives, etc.- Manage tax department personnel in their responsibilities and career development- Preparation of monthly income tax payments for the various Mexican legal entities- Scheduling and coordination of monthly tax related activities- Coordination responses related to ongoing audits from tax authorities- Standardization of tax processes including process improvements, automation, and efficiency**Education and Qualifications**:- Minimum of 8-years corporate tax experience with large multi-national corporation or Big-4 accounting firm- Solid knowledge of Mexico tax laws and regulations- Experience in corporate tax advisory and compliance, indirect taxes and transfer pricing in Mexico- Experience in managing tax examinations and controversy matters- Effective and efficient written and oral communication skills in both Spanish and English.- Excellent computer skills, including use of HFM and SAP accounting software- CPA certification a plus- Willingness and ability to travel, as necessary
