Principal Data Engineer

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Principal Data Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Mexico. The client is gearing up to revolutionize the data landscape by building a cutting-edge Enterprise Data Lakehouse Platform. They are forming multiple teams that will spearhead the creation of the platform's foundational components. These teams go beyond traditional data ingestion; they are architects of a microservices-driven platform, providing abstractions that empower other teams to extend the platform seamlessly. We seek a dynamic and highly skilled Principal Data Engineer with extensive experience building self-service enterprise-scale data platforms with microservices architecture and leading these foundational efforts. This is a remote position, and engineers will work Eastern US business hours.- Requirements:- 10-15 years of proven experience in modern cloud data engineering, broader data landscape experience, and exposure and solid software engineering experience.- Understanding architecting and building successful self-service enterprise-scale data platforms in a green field environment with microservices-based architecture.- Understanding building end-to-end data platforms and data services in GCP.- Experience with microservices architectures, such as Kubernetes and Docker.
