Senior Data Scientist – DSS We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist for DSS at UserFoundation with extensive experience in applied data science and machine learning engineering. The ideal candidate will take ownership of production model development and deployment, leveraging advanced ML architectures and modern data ecosystems. Key Responsibilities Own production model development and deployment. Architect large-scale, production-grade ML pipelines using tools such as Airflow, Kubeflow, AWS Step Functions, or SageMaker Pipelines. Utilize AWS cloud services extensively, with deep expertise in AWS SageMaker (training jobs, pipelines, feature store, model registry, multi-model endpoints, serverless inference). Implement advanced ML architectures including representation learning, forecasting, generative models, and anomaly detection. Apply MLOps practices including CI/CD (GitHub Actions, CodePipeline), containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS), and monitoring (Prometheus, CloudWatch, Datadog). Work with modern data ecosystems, including data lakes/lakehouses, Spark, Delta/Iceberg, and real-time streaming pipelines. Ensure model governance, Responsible AI practices, and adherence to production SLAs. Communicate complex technical topics effectively to stakeholders. Collaborate using tools such as Jira, Confluence, GitHub/GitLab. Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience in applied data science or machine learning engineering, including ownership of production model development and deployment. 5+ years hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, with deep expertise in AWS SageMaker. Strong proficiency in Python, deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), and advanced ML architectures. Experience architecting large-scale, production-grade ML pipelines. Advanced knowledge of MLOps practices, containerization, orchestration, and monitoring. Experience with modern data ecosystems including Spark, Delta/Iceberg, and real-time streaming pipelines. Strong understanding of model governance, Responsible AI practices, and production SLAs. Excellent communication and stakeholder-facing skills. Experience with collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, GitHub/GitLab.
