Security Architect

**Security Arcitect****Location**:05349, Av. Santa Fe 495, Cruz Manca, Cuajimalpa de Morelos, 05349 CDMX, Mexico**This role leads **Security Solution Architecture** engagements by designing control implementations from consumption through deployment. It also participates in **Enterprise Security Architecture activities**, including formal security reviews as part of the **permit-to-build** process governed by Enterprise Architecture (EA).The architect will be accountable for driving security alignment across new and existing initiatives through our three core services: _**Enterprise Security Architecture, Security Solution Architecture, and Senior Security Consulting**_.**Core Responsibilities**:- Lead the design and implementation of project-specific security controls and architecture, from initial design through deployment and validation.- Serve as a security authority in WR Berkley’s permit-to-build process, conducting architecture reviews and advising BTS teams on design alignment.- Develop and maintain reusable security reference architectures and design requirements or patterns for identity, connectivity (e.g., TLS 1.3/mTLS), cloud security, segmentation, and Zero Trust.- Conduct architecture security assessments and document recommendations to reduce risks, vulnerabilities, and enforce secure design.- Partner with BTS teams including Cloud, Networking, Endpoint Engineering, and Enterprise Architecture to ensure alignment with SecArch direction and standards.- Contribute to architecture governance, including review boards and enterprise design forums, to drive consistency and enforceability.**Minimum Qualifications**:- 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity or infrastructure architecture, with 3+ years focused on secure design and architecture in complex enterprise environments.- Strong familiarity with architecture governance processes (e.g., permit-to-build or design review workflows).- Experience collaborating with cloud, network, and endpoint teams to implement and validate security controls.- Knowledge of security frameworks and regulations including NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, CSA CCM, and Zero Trust principles.- Confident communicator able to advocate for secure design across technical and business stakeholders.**Preferred Qualifications**:- 10+ years of experience building and governing enterprise-wide architecture requirements, patterns, or design libraries.- 2+ Years of experience within a Value-Added Reseller (VAR) or Security Firm providing security solution architecture services and has hands-on on solution project experience with modern security solutions (e.g., IAM, PAM, NGFWs, Cloud, SASE, O365 Security, etc.)- 2+ years of experience providing senior security consulting engagements (e.g., NIST CSF assessments, SOC 2 readiness audits, risk analysis, threat modeling, etc.) preferably in large firm (e.g., EY, Deloitte, Booz Allan, etc.)- Expertise with regulatory and industry frameworks such as NY DFS 500, GLBA, FFIEC, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, CIS Benchmarks, and NIST CSF.- Good combination of Certifications:- General Certifications: CISSP, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), and GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) or similar.- Specific Certifications: GIAC Defensible Security Architecture (GDSA), CCNP Security, CCIE Security, cloud security certifications (e.g., CSA, CCSP, AWS, Azure) or similar.- Experience with enterprise architecture tools or frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, ArchiMate, Open Security Architecture, Solution Architecture Models).- The ability to visit Dallas branch (i.e., has passport and ability to qualify for visitor visa)**Job Types**: Full-time, ContractContract length: 12 monthsPay: $90.00 - $120.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekWork Location: In person
