You are trusted to make decisions that drive a material impact on the direction and success of Lendable from day 1- ** Work in small teams of exceptional people,** who are relentlessly resourceful to solve problems and find smarter solutions than the status quo- ** Build the best technology in-house**, using new data sources, machine learning and AI to make machines do the heavy liftingWe have an opening for a Senior React Native Engineer to join our Mexico expansion team, helping to spearhead the initial greenfield build of a new mobile finance app that aims to further our international growth.We’re looking for someone excited by the idea of joining a small cross-functional product team with a startup mindset, operating within a successful and profitable Fintech business, to support the initial build of a new product offering for a new market.You will need a strong track record of building and shipping React Native apps for both Android & iOS to be successful in this role, and **written and spoken fluency in English is a must**.**Our tech stack**:**Mobile**:- Typescript, React Native, Expo, GraphQL, Relay, Jest, React Testing Library**Web**:- Typescript, React, NextJS, Redux Toolkit, SCSS Modules, React Testing Library, Cypress, Turborepo**Backend / Infrastructure**:- PHP 8 (Symfony), Kotlin, MySQL, RabbitMQ, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes**Tooling**:- ArgoCD and Github Actions- Github, Jira & Confluence, for our code & product management processes- Datadog & Sentry, for debugging and reporting- Figma, for our design process**What we're looking for**:- ** Written and spoken English** at Intermediate (B2) level or above- A solid understanding of modern **Javascript with Typescript**- You have **significant commercial experience** with cross-platform native mobile app development using React Native- You have a strong understanding of the different needs of mobile users across a variety of platforms and devices- You’re an advocate for **automated testing**, and take a pragmatic approach to implementing and improving the various phases of the testing pyramid- You can quickly identify and assess technical debt and are keen to make the case for remedying it whenever the opportunity arises- You have a **product mindset**. Working with product owners to break down business requirements into deliverable tasks and estimate the complexity of their implementation. You can quickly identify the difficulties of implementing a feature from an initial design wireframe or outline spec and are comfortable putting forward alternative approaches where appropriate- You take **ownership of your work**, ensuring progress by proactively communicating blockers, seeking feedback, and driving tasks to completion. You actively engage in team ceremonies and **collaborate to keep projects moving forward**.- You recognise the value of good documentation and understand how, when, and where to capture key decisions - particularly in the early stages of building a new product**What would make you stand out**:- You’ve used GraphQL in a production environment- You’ve built and launched new products and grown the audience- You have in-depth experience of mobile performance best practices and debugging- Experience employing staged rollouts and multivariate testing approaches to release new features and test hypotheses- A good understanding of UI or UX design.
