STC Mechanical Test Lab Supervisor reporting to STC Lab Manager, will lead and manage Mechanical technicians and Lab, and supervising execution of all validation required by the organization.Your Role (i.e. Key Job Responsibilities):- Manage activities of Mechanical Lab- Select, Train and develop employees and new hires- Ensure housekeeping/safety standards- Support, maintain, and improve the Business System for compliance to in accordance with EOS, A2LA, and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.- Provide resources required.- Perform special assignments and support new projects- Interpret customer test specifications and define parameter / conditioning test requirements- Received test request, analyze, and determine feasibility.- Assimilate, assign, schedule, and supervise TR execution.- Ensure compliance according to programs timing and customer specific requirements.- Provide support to subordinates.- Analyze/review/Approve test data/reports- Provide test consultation- Develop new test methods and technology as required, and implement testing process improvements- Manage and verify implementation of corrective actions as appropriate- Communication regarding the importance of meeting customers and other requirements.Your Required Background (i.e. Must Haves):- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, mechatronic engineering or equivalent- Experience in a Validation laboratory environment- Advanced knowledge of mechanical concepts and testing- Advanced mechanical comprehension- Basic knowledge of environmental and testing equipment and processes.- Knowledge of validations specifications and customer specific requirements.- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, Outlook)- Knowledge using bench test equipment (Force Tester, Megometers, Hipot Tester, Pressure and Vacuum equipment, etc.)- Proficient English- Familiarity with Automotive Products Validation Process and Terms.- Strong project management skills.Your Preferred Background (i.e. Nice to Haves):- Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Project, Excel, Outlook, Skype, Teams, Visio, etc.)- Strong results-orientation and execution characteristics- Resourcefully innovative and adapts in a rapidly changing environment- Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization- Excellent oral and written communication skills with a strong ability to work with a team- Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and accomplish multiple conflicting tasks, make intelligent, timely decisions and solve problems independently- Strong presence, poise and persuasiveness to establish a high level of credibility quicklyAptiv MEXICO Rewards and Advantages- Competitive compensation- Learning, professional growth and development in a world recognized international environment- Discount programs with automotive customers- Recognition for innovation and excellence- Opportunities to give back to the community- Meaningful work that makes a difference in the world- Paid Time-Off (Vacation, Parental Leave etc.)- Savings fundSalary employees- Pension plan- Competitive health benefits (GMM)Aptiv is an equal employment opportunity employer.
