Here are the key aspects of the role:**About the Role**In this opportunity as a Senior Database Administrator, you will be responsible for:- **Database Management**:Install, upgrade, and maintain SQL Server instances across multiple environments.- **Performance Tuning**:Optimize database performance through index tuning, query optimization, and resource monitoring.- **Backup and Recovery**:Design and implement robust backup strategies and disaster recovery processes.- **High Availability Solutions**:Implement and manage high availability solutions such as Availability Groups, Failover Clustering, and Log Shipping.- **Monitoring**:Enhance the SQL monitoring process- **Troubleshooting**:Diagnose and resolve complex database issues in production and non-production environments.- **Security Audits**:Perform regular security audits and implement measures to protect sensitive data.- **Documentation**:Accurately document work and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.- Support 24x7 Operations/Production SQL Server 2016+**About You**You’re a fit for the role if your background includes:- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering.- At least 8 years of hands-on experience managing SQL Server in various environments- Proficiency in SQL Server versions , including installation, configuration, and migration- Strong understanding of high availability and disaster recovery solutions- Deep knowledge of SQL performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies- Experience with cloud-based SQL Server deployments (Azure SQL Database, AWS RDS, etc.)- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills- Experience in monitoring and acting on critical production issues (Datadog experience would be optimal)- AWS Experience (specifically designing, implementing, and/or supporting RDS)- Experience in PostgreSQL will be an added advantage.- Excellent communication skills to interact with various teams and stakeholders- Ability to manage multiple tasks or projects simultaneouslyLI-FZ1**What’s in it For You?**- **Hybrid Work Model**:We’ve adopted a flexible hybrid working environment (2-3 days a week in the office depending on the role) for our office-based roles while delivering a seamless experience that is digitally and physically connected.- **Flexibility & Work-Life Balance**:Flex My Way is a set of supportive workplace policies designed to help manage personal and professional responsibilities, whether caring for family, giving back to the community, or finding time to refresh and reset.
