**Buyer Key Functions**:- Research and identify new potential suppliers.- Liaison between suppliers, and Stant Engineering, Manufacturing & Machine Development.- Develop quote packages and evaluate financial results.- Key contributor to business case development working directly with the manufacturing facilities.- Develop, create and amend purchase order agreements and long term agreements.- Negotiate long term agreements encompassing all commercial terms like incoterms, payment terms, long term productivity reductions, etc.- Develop/Implement/Execute long term strategy and growth plan.- Monitor and understand current market conditions and react accordingly.- Source tooling for new product development and monitor due dates- Support Corporate and International Supplier Development activities.- Drive/participate in supplier Continuous Improvement programs and cost reduction efforts.- Assist Planners on material delivery issues from suppliers.**Qualifications**:- Stamping and/or Steel Tube experience.- Ability and experience with reading prints and specifications.- Purchasing methods, procedures, and total landed cost analysis.- ERP systems - PLEX preferred.- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A) from four-year College or university; with minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.- Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs.- Ability to write professional routine reports and correspondence.- Ability to speak effectively and professionally before suppliers or employee groups within the organization.- Organized and detail orientated.- Strong negotiation and leadership skills.- Professional advanced EnglishThis position will be managing and leading stampings, springs and steel tubes for fuel delivery and closure systems.
