**Position Overview**:The Controller will be responsible for managing all accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires a proactive leader with extensive experience in accounting and proficiency in Acumatica software.**Key Responsibilities**:- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.- Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.- Manage the budgeting process, providing financial analysis and recommendations to senior management.- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and standards.- Coordinate and lead internal and external audits.- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team.- Utilize Acumatica software to streamline accounting processes and maintain financial data integrity.- Identify training needs and implement development programs.**Compliance and Reporting**:- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.- Coordinate and prepare for audits, liaising with external auditors as needed.- Oversee tax planning and compliance.**Process Improvement**:- Assess current accounting operations and recommend improvements.- Implement new processes and systems to enhance financial operations.**Qualifications**:- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.**Experience**:- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.- CPA certification is a plus.- Proven experience with Acumatica financial software is required.- Experience working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas is advantageous.**Skills**:- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.- Strong leadership and team management skills.- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.**About 1840 & Company**1840 & Company is a global leader in Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and remote talent solutions, dedicated to propelling businesses forward through our comprehensive suite of services.
