About the team
The SAP team is part of the Enterprise Capabilities & Solutions (ECS), an internal AZ organization that comprises technology teams to support the global strategy.
Role and Responsibilities
- As a SAP FICO Functional Consultant, you will be responsible for resolving any SAP issues reported by the business users and delivering all enhancements as required by business users (Incident Management).
- Responsible for completing all tasks assigned by the team lead and project manager.
- Responsible for reviewing solutions designed by the team members and proposing improvements.
- Proactively work with business users to identify and resolve recurring issues.
Essential for the role
- Functional understanding of their respective work stream and expert knowledge in configuration and maintenance of SAP systems, mainly on the FI module (General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Asset Accounting, Treasury).
- Ability to understand business requirements from business users and prepare and review functional specifications.
- Good understanding of integration between other modules (SD, MM, PP).
- Ability to work in large and diverse teams.
- Awareness of release governance processes and experience in working on any incident management tool.
- Experience with various estimation techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Well versed in English and Spanish with excellent spoken and written skills.
- Willingness to work in shifts.
- Proactive approach to problem solving.
- Experience working in a globally distributed team.
Desirable for the role
- Exposure to Run SAP (Solution Manager) methodologies.
- Experience in highly customized SAP environments and working on interfaces with non-SAP systems.
- Understanding of ITIL processes and application lifecycle management.
- Good understanding of GXP and SOX requirements, with working experience in a validated environment.
- Experience implementing/supporting the CO-PC (Product Costing) module in SAP.
- Experience supporting FI localizations (Mexico, Brazil, etc.).
