Full-stack Engineer

This role offers the opportunity to join a small, high-impact engineering team building a compliance-driven web platform used to securely process and present sensitive communication data. As a Full-stack Engineer, you will own features end-to-end, balancing delivery speed with correctness, reliability, and data integrity. You will work across frontend and backend systems, contributing to scalable, secure solutions in a remote-first, international environment. The position emphasizes thoughtful engineering, strong attention to detail, and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders. You will have direct exposure to real-world, production systems where quality and accuracy are critical. This is an ideal role for a proactive engineer eager to grow while delivering meaningful, high-responsibility solutions. Accountabilities Build, maintain, and enhance full-stack web applications using React, Node.js, and modern JavaScript frameworks. Develop and support features that extract, normalize, and present large communication datasets in reliable, legally compliant formats. Implement backend services and desktop applications in Node.js to process, validate, encrypt, and export data efficiently. Design intuitive frontend workflows in React that guide non-technical users through complex, multi-step processes. Ensure data consistency and reliability across multiple ingestion sources, including web and mobile. Strengthen security, authentication, authorization, logging, and auditability to meet compliance standards. Investigate production issues by analyzing logs, reproducing edge cases, and delivering validated fixes. Collaborate closely with engineering and cross-functional teams to scope, prioritize, and continuously ship improvements. Requirements 3+ years of experience building and supporting production web applications. Strong full-stack or backend development experience with React, Node.js, or similar technologies. Hands-on experience with NestJS, TypeORM, and RESTful API design and consumption. Solid debugging skills and comfort working with logs and real production data. Strong attention to detail with a focus on testing, documentation, and code quality. Excellent written and spoken English for daily collaboration with U.S.-based teams. Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a small, remote team. Experience in startup or remote-first environments and exposure to regulated or compliance-heavy domains is a plus. Familiarity with data security concepts such as encryption, audit trails, and access controls, as well as experience with Electron is an advantage.
