At a glance:_- 100% remote- 12-month contract to start, potential to extend to 2 years- Only 1 interview Needed ASAP- $20-25/hr USD, depending on experience- English-speaking role- Top skills:_- 5+ years of hands-on experience configuring SAP Payroll solutions (EC Payroll or HCM Payroll)- Strong expertise in US Payroll, with deep knowledge of tax management- A problem-solver who isn't afraid to admit when they've made a mistake- Strong English skills- Official job description:_**SAP Payroll Configuration Consultant (SAP EC Payroll / SAP HCM Payroll)****Key Responsibilities**:- Configure and deliver SAP Payroll solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements.- Support payroll processes, including gross-to-net calculations, tax reporting, third-party remittances, garnishments, and year-end activities.- Troubleshoot payroll issues and execute parallel payroll testing with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.- Provide technical expertise for integration with SAP FI, Compensation, Time Management, Benefits, and third-party systems.- Develop and implement custom operations, rules, and user exits as needed.- Maintain payroll catalogs, including wage type configurations, off-cycle payroll processing, and levy management.- Ensure accurate system setup for garnishment processing and reporting.- Proactively solve problems, recommending and implementing efficient solutions in a high-performance culture.**Skills and Qualifications**:- Required:_- Minimum 5 years of experience in configuring SAP Payroll solutions (EC Payroll or HCM Payroll).- Strong expertise in US Payroll, with deep knowledge of tax management.- Experience in:- Payroll catalog setup (e.g., collective bargaining agreements, wage type definition).- Off-cycle payroll processing and levy management.- Garnishment management and reporting.- Tax reporter configuration and integration with BSI Tax Factory.- Custom operations, rules, and user exits.- Proven track record of completing 4+ full life cycle implementations in SAP Payroll.- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with strong client engagement capabilities.- Ability to work on multiple clients and projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.- Preferred:_- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.- Experience with SAP SuccessFactors, Payroll Control Center (PCC), and automation tools.- Familiarity with process optimization strategies.- Minimum 2 years of experience executing parallel payroll testing.**Additional Attributes**:- Self-driven and capable of independent work.- Skilled in managing complex configurations.- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering solutions quickly.
