We are revolutionizing the way the world moves for future generations, and we want someone who is ready to move with us.Role SummaryEssential ResponsibilitiesAs Buying/Procurement Specialist you will:- Place and follow-up on POs (Purchase Order)- Manage relationships with suppliers including On Time Delivery, Material availability, Lead Time maintenance and reduction- Update MRP systems- Balance tactical execution with strategic initiatives necessary to drive Material Availability and other key business metrics.- Develop awareness of manufacturing processes and improve product knowledge- Contribute to projects as team member within the Fulfillment organization.Qualifications/Requirements- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Buying/Procurement/Materials/SourcingDesired Characteristics- Oracle Experience- Negotiation experience desired- Strong oral and written communication skills- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills- Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact- Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously- Effective problem identification and solution skills- Proven analytical and organizational abilityWho are we?- Wabtec Corporation is a leading global provider of equipment, systems, digital solutions, and value-added services for freight and transit rail as well as the mining, marine, and industrial markets.
