Through a respectful, inclusive and collaborative culture, a career at Flex offers the opportunity to make a difference, invest in your career growth and join our purpose - to make great products that create value and improve people’s lives.Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Global Commodity Manager Indirect located in Guadalajara, North Campus.Reporting to the Commodity Manager Indirect, Global Commodity Manager Indirect role involves providing commodity support and strategy around MRO commodities to the Indirect procurement supply chain Organization, to ensure continuity of supply, supplier development, readiness, and improvement activities, in order to optimize cost, deliveries, service, and quality requirements for our operations and customers. Working closely with regional RCM's and Purchasing operations, the commodity manager will communicate and ensure implementation of strategies for sourcing, cost reduction, inventory optimization, contracts, TCO and payment terms improvements, with the overall goal of maintaining good supplier relationships, while achieving the goals set up to achieve maximum advantage for our company and customers.What a typical day looks like:- Establish and manage long-term strategic and core supplier relationships and will engage with Flex sites and business segments.- Guide the selection, development and management of Core and Strategic Suppliers to meet commodity costs and performance goals.- Investigate, negotiate and implement cost reduction opportunities within the commodity spend to support the business.- Implement programs for supplier selection, supplier performance management, and supply base optimization.- Implement programs for supplier selection, supplier performance management, and supply base optimization.- Provide Quotation centers with support from core and strategic suppliers to obtain competitive and timely quotes.- Monitor current commodity market conditions, technology roadmaps and identify supply/demand challenges. Develop, implement and communicate tactical and strategic commodity plans internally and to Flex customers as appropriate.- Collaborate with Customer Supply Chain Managers and Product Introduction centers to coordinate sourcing strategies and ensure a smooth and timely manufacturing ramp on new programs.- Provide a point of escalation for Commodity issues as appropriate.- Gain access through supplier relationships to leading technology, product roadmaps, technology strategies, and industry trends.- Work with the Global Commodity management and strategic supply chain management teams on sourcing strategies including supplier selection, risk analysis, and capacity management- Develop Sustainable Materials Margin opportunities- Ensure the lowest landed component costs are negotiated, captured, and implemented across segment businesses.The experience we’re looking to add to our team:- BA/BS or equivalent work experience.- Fluent English oral and written.- Previous experience in similar position.- Previous experience in materials and/or manufacturing experience.- Experience working with Suppliers.- Experience in supplier selection.- Experience in MRO (spare parts, minor equipment, fixtures, consumables, etc.).What you’ll receive for the great work you provide:- Competitive Salary.- Life & Medical insurance.- Christmas Bonus.- Food Coupons.- Saving Fund.AD80Job CategoryGlobal Procurement & Supply Chain
