As a senior member of our team, you'll architect comprehensive testing strategies,lead cross-functional initiatives, and mentor junior engineers while driving quality excellenceacross multiple product areas. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilitiesto perform the essential functions.**Core Responsibilities**- Architect and implement comprehensive automated testing frameworks across multiple feature domains- Lead strategic test planning for complex epics and feature sets, considering technical dependencies and risk mitigation- Design and optimize scalable test solutions ensuring reliability and maintainability- Drive defect prevention strategies and quality initiatives across multiple teams- Collaborate with cross-functional groups to identify and address testing bottlenecks- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers- Develop and maintain comprehensive test coverage strategies- Balance quality objectives with release timelines effectively- Act as a quality champion, embedding quality principles early in the development lifecycle- Drive continuous improvement in testing processes and automation frameworks- Represent QA interests in architectural discussions and technical decisions**Team Collaboration**- Contribute and participate in opportunities for technical innovation and experimentation- Collaborate with product owners on feature requirements- Participate in hiring and interviewing processes**Growth & Development**- Lead technical discussions and architectural decisions for test automation- Mentor junior engineers in testing best practices and automation- Drive quality initiatives across multiple teams- Provide technical guidance on testing strategies- Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives and standard**Education and Experience**- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field- Minimum 5+ years of experience in software testing and automation**Technical Skills**- Advanced proficiency in automated testing frameworks and tools- Must have experience in C#- Strong knowledge of software design patterns and architecture- Experience with cloud-based testing environments- Deep understanding of performance and security testing concepts- Proficiency in CI/CD tools and pipeline optimization- Version control systems expertise (Git preferred)- Database concepts and SQL knowledge- Deep understanding of software architecture patterns and system design- Strong technical leadership and mentoring skills- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities- Experience with agile development methodologies- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices**Paylocity is an equal-opportunity employer.**Paylocity is committed to the full inclusion of all individuals.
